Yateesha van Loon [b. 1996, Drachten] is a Dutch designer and artist whose work navigates the threshold between inner experience and external perception. Working with tools such as EEG technology, generative drawing, experimental film and installation, she creates systems that translate human mental activity into poetic visual forms.
Her design practice centers on intimacy, control, and the tension between data and identity. With a background in media art and a strong conceptual foundation, she often builds speculative frameworks that blur the lines between clinical aesthetics and emotional depth.
Yateesha’s work invites participation, reflection, and slow observation. Whether through plotter-based brainwave drawings or immersive spatial encounters, she encourages audiences to reconsider what it means to observe, to be measured, and to be seen.
She graduated cum laude from the Minerva Art Academy in 2025 with her project Modus Oper-and-I, a performative installation exploring mental states through live EEG drawing.
